Dr. Cospito attended S.U.N.Y. Oneonta, receiving a B.S. in Biology with a minor in chemistry. He graduated cum laude. He received his medical degree at The Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating third in a class of 100. Following internship, he was the Medical Department Head on the Naval vessel U.S.S. Saipan LHA-2. He received The Naval Commendation Medal for bravery cited during rescue efforts in the wake of an on-board helicopter accident. Internal Medicine residency training was completed at The Portsmouth Naval Hospital. During which he was a Clinical Instructor at The Eastern Virginia Medical School. Following this, general cardiology fellowship training was completed at The Bethesda Naval Hospital. During his Bethesda training, he also served as a teaching fellow at the Uniformed Services School of Health Sciences. He trained at the world renowned Washington Hospital Center for his coronary Interventional fellowship. During the 1998-99 academic year, he completed a peripheral vascular interventional fellowship at The Saint Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston. Doctor Cospito is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Cardiovascular Diseases. He is married with three children and resides in Scotia. Personal interests include weightlifting, golf, art and motorcycling
