Satish Madiraju, M.D., FACP, FACC, FSCAI, FSVM

Dr. Madiraju attended medical school at the University of Mysore, India where he also completed House Officer training. He completed an Internship, Residency and Chief Residency at Saint Vincent Hospital, University of Massachusetts in Worcester, Massachusetts. After serving as an Assistant Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency he continued on to perform a Fellowship In Cardiovascular Medicine. He subsequently performed fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology at Brown Medical School in Providence, Rhode Island after which he stayed on to complete a dedicated Vascular & Endovascular Medicine fellowship. 

He has since worked with Michigan Heart & Vascular Institute in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Prairie Heart Institute in Springfield, Illinois. He most recently completed a Structural Heart Disease fellowship at Prairie Heart Institute and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Vascular Medicine, Endovascular Medicine and Vascular Ultrasonography. 

His areas of special interest include transradial coronary intervention, percutaneous hemodynamic support, critical limb ischemia, Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair (TMVR), paravalvular leak repair, PFO/ASD closure and left atrial appendage occlusion therapies. 

Apart from clinical medicine, he is passionate about healthcare delivery, cost effectiveness and has been recognized by patients for his focus on empathy, communication and his thoughtful approach while recommending invasive treatments.
