John A. Nolan, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Nolan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Siena College and Cum Laude from Albany Medical College where he was elected to the National Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Nolan completed his internship, residency and fellowship at Albany Medical College. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. Dr. Nolan has been practicing Cardiology in Schenectady since completing his training in 1983. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the New York State Chapter.
Dr. Nolan was chief of Cardiology and chief of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of Ellis Hospital until 2016. He was Medical Director of the Ellis Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Lab from 1984-1993. He was instrumental in the development of the Cardiac Surgery Program at Ellis Hospital. He served as president of Cardiology Associates of Schenectady since its inception until 2017. As president, he grew the practice from the original nine members and one office to twenty six physicians in six offices.
His professional interests include clinical cardiology and echocardiography.
